Part 3.3 Sensoro Beacons

This post will guide you through the whole process after you’ve received your Sensoro beacons. We’ll look into Sensoro registration and finally importing the beacon fleet using Web Portal.

We recommend you to check out the previous articles in this tutorial series to get all the basic things done before importing any beacons.

Please note: Even though it’s possible to add beacons into our platform manually or using the management applications, it’s highly recommended that you use the import tool in the web portal to add the beacons.

Step 1. Creating a Sensoro account

You can create your free Sensoro account from the following url:

Click on the above link and create a free account by giving your Username, Email, Password and finally click signup. Check your inbox and click on the activation link—your account is now created!

Step 2. Adding beacons to your Sensoro account

After you’ve registered and logged in, go to Device list section and click “Add Beacon” button. An instruction box opens up. You will get a QR code shown up in the box , then follow the instruction to get the Sensoro Inspection App installed. You need to scan the QR code of each device and add them to your account. Follow the Instructions in this LINK to setup the beacons.

Step 3. Inspecting the results at Sensoro portal

As your beacons arrive, they already have some pre-configured settings. After you’ve added the beacons under your sensoro account, you can see what those settings are, change their broadcasting values etc. To change the settings of the beacons you can follow the instruction from this LINK . You also need to download the sensoro configuration app and the link for both iOS and Andriod devices are at the bottom page of the above link.

Step 4. Import the beacon fleet to Web Portal

After you’ve confirmed that you have all your beacons added under your Sensoro account, you can proceed and import the beacon fleet to your account.

To import the beacons into web portal you just need the Sensoro username and password.

Importing the beacons

Login to the Web Portal and head down to the Manage Inputs -> Import Inputs section -> Sensoro Available Inputs and enter the Sensoro account email id and password and click “Connect”. All the associated beacons will display on the screen.

Next step is to import the selected beacons by clicking “Import” link at the right side of the table.

Finally, you need to choose a department for the beacon and place it in it’s real-world physical location on top of the map layer by clicking next. After this step you’re ready and good to go! Add some geofences, action flows and enjoy the results.
