how events can benefit from proximity analytics

Arctic15 and visitor analytics

Arctic15 is a two-day startup conference event, taking place in Helsinki, Finland. During the two days – from June 2nd to 3rd 2016, analytics from Arctic15 were amazing: more than 1500 attendees, with 75 speakers, more than 200 investors, 400 startups, 100 corporations and 3500 meetings.

The Challenge

How to collect actionable data about the people flow inside the venue?

The Solution

A combination of 13 beacons, proximity platform and the official Arctic15 app were used to gain rich analytics about the visitor flow in the venue.

In this case study, you’ll learn:

  • How functionality was integrated into the event app?
  • How to setup indoor positioning in a 2500 square metre building?
  • What data can be gained through proximity?
  • How much does it cost?
  • And most importantly – how can these analytics be turned into actions?
